Interceptor® Plus uses multi-layer polymer film technology to produce a chemical barrier fabric that is light and flexible yet offers resistance to a wide range of high hazard chemicals. The co-extrusion production method produces a tough and durable yet flexible and smooth finish. Construction includes stitched seams taped both sides (inside and out) for additional strength and protection, in a fully encapsulating gas and vapour-tight configuration, with front and rear entry options. Includes integral socks with boot overflaps, attached two-layer gloves (inner chemical barrier/outer butyl), double-layer sealed PVC/Teflon visor with standard and wide vision options, and diagonally-mounted gas-tight zipper. Expanded back for internally worn SCBA with two rear-mounted exhalation valves with protective shrouds. EN Type 1 gas and vapour protection. Permeation resistance tested against a wide range of hazardous chemicals, and works with Permasure, Lakeland‘s easy-to-use smart-phone app that calculates safe-wear times for over 4000 chemicals, accounting for the effect of temperature on permeation rate and chemical toxicity. Also tested against a range of chemical warfare agents, so suitable for military, anti-terrorist, and civil defense applications. The Interceptor Plus Pressure Test Kit (available seperately) can be used for pressure testing to confirmsuit integrity before and after use.
